This year, there were 2 fellowship grantees who graduated with a Ph.D. Degree; Ms. Sirawadee Arunyanart, Lecturer at Khon Khaen University and Ms. Wapee Manopiniwes, Lecturer at Chiang Mai University.   Hitachi Global Foundation was established in 1984 and it aims to help and support the education of ASEAN university lecturers. So far, there have been 64 grantees for Ph.D. Degrees and 67 grantees for a short term research program from universities in Thailand to study Ph.D. Degree in Japan.

On 28 October 2013, H.E. Mr. Thanatip Upatising attended a company visit organized by Hitachi Ltd. for ASEAN Ambssadors in Tokyo.  The event was conducted to introduce Hitachi’s business activities including social infrastructure projects to ASEAN Ambassadors and also to promote friendship between the company and ASEAN Ambassadors.
