2022年7月25日、シントン・ラーピセートパン大使は福島県からの食品輸入制限を撤廃してくれた日本の友好国に感謝し、県の復興進捗に関する情報を提供するために八芳園にて開催されたふくしま復興レセプションに出席しました。このレセプションには林芳正外務大臣、内堀雅雄福島県知事も出席しました。 福島県知事の講演の中で、タイについて、特に県から桃の輸入を再開した最初の国と言及されました。重要な進展は、イギリスが福島県からの食品輸入制限を撤廃した直近の国であることです。イベントには約150名もの外交官が出席するほど注目を集め、イベントでの食事は地元の食材を使用した料理が中心でした。
