On 21 October 2021, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, hosted a dinner in honour of Mr. KANO Takehiro, Director-General of the Department of Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs, and Mr. KOBAYASHI Kenichi, former Director-General of the Department of Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs who has been appointed as the Ambassador of Japan to Lao PDR, at the Ambassador's Residence. On this occasion, Ambassador Singtong and officials of the Royal Thai Embassy exchanged views with the Japanese side to enhance bilateral relations between Thailand and Japan.

On 2 August 2016, the Royal Thai Embassy, in cooperation with the Japan-Thailand Business Forum (JTBF) held a lecture on “The economic situation of Japan and Abenomics Policy”. H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag, gave opening remarks and Mr. Nobuyasa Atago, Chief Economist, Okasan Securities Co. Ltd. and former executive officer of the Bank of Japan was the lecturer. Several head officers, diplomats and other staff, also participated in the lecture.
