On 6 June 2023, Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, Executive Director of Mekong Institute, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, during his visit to Japan to attend ASEAN-Japan Business Week 2023. Both sides exchanged views on cooperation in the ASEAN-Japan framework and in the Mekong-Japan framework. The Ambassador also updated information on the current situation in Japan and Japan's views on ASEAN countries.
