Visa and administrative processes for applicant holding passport of North Korea, Libya, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan generally takes thirty (30) days.

Non-Japanese applicant holding passports of Algeria, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Laos, Lebanon, Nigeria, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestinian State, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Yemen cannot request for passport(s) to be returned by mail. The visa's issuance for the above mentioned nationals will take upto 10 working days.
